Erişkin kaktüs bu sefalin üzerinde Mammillaria’lara benzer taç şeklinde çepeçevre çiçekler açar ve meyvalar yapar. Sefalin fese benzer görünümünden dolayı “Fes Kaktüsü” “Türk kaktüsü” veya “Türk kafası kaktüsü” olarakda bilinir. Kaktüsseverlerin aradığı ve sevdiği türlerden biridir.
