Milk Tree care

Milk tree is not a plant that enjoys the winter season. In cold weather, the plant stops its development and enters the dormant period. In summer, since it loves heat and sun, the need for sun must be met during the day, especially if it is looked at indoors. The effect of the sun on the development of the plant is high. As pots, pots with a size and depth suitable for the size of the plant should be preferred. As the plant grows, it should be gradually grown in pots. Care should be taken to have more than one air hole at the bottom of the pot. Otherwise, if drainage is not provided, unfortunately the plant roots will rot and may cause plant death. The milk tree should be watered during the summer period as the soil dries. In winter, you can extend the irrigation period a little longer as the need for irrigation will be less.

Does the Milk Tree bloom?

The milk tree does not bloom, but if it is well cared for, its form becomes more beautiful as it grows.

How to Propagate a Milk Tree?

You can use the new shoots emerging from the trunk at the end of spring as cuttings to propagate the milk tree. You can plant it in the ground after keeping it in the shade for 2-3 days so that the cutting can close the cut wound. You can use a mixture of cockpit, peat and perlite as soil.
